To support rising industry demand for upskilled professionals, the Continuing Education & Training (CET) providers in Singapore have introduced industry-relevant courses to equip participants with the skills and knowledge required to stay ahead in the competitive market.
Singapore Polytechnic (SP) and Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS) have partnered to offer a Specialist Diploma in Digital Content Marketing (SD-DCM) for all who want to embark on a career as a content creator.
Who Is The Course For?
This Digitalisation course is suitable for working professionals who are looking to expand into the field of digital marketing or social media content marketing. To get exciting job opportunities as digital content creators, content producers, digital content strategists or digital content marketers, you should enrol in this course.
Eligibility Criteria
Interested applicants must be a graduate of a relevant media & communication, business/marketing, design or infocomm course from any of the local polytechnics in Singapore. Applicants with other equivalent qualifications or relevant working experience will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Applicants who do not meet the entry criteria may be admitted to the course based on at least 5 years of relevant work experience with competency readiness. The shortlisted applicants will be called for an interview and/or entrance test.
How Will The Course Help?
This industry-relevant course is aimed to equip participants with the necessary skills and knowledge in Digital Content Marketing to keep pace with new trends in the industry. Upon successful completion of the course, the participants will be able to:
a) Produce simple digital content for businesses
b) Use digital or social media tools and techniques for marketing
c) Develop the basic idea of digital content strategy
d) Learn the basics of web analytics and apply them to optimise marketing campaigns
e) Improve their skills in Internet and Social Media Marketing, Branding using Social Media, and Social Media Metrics and Analytics
The course consists of 6 modules over three semesters, which will take about18 months. To provide working professionals with busy schedules with more flexibility in learning, classes are conducted in the evenings.
Once the course is completed successfully, participants will get a Post-Diploma Certificate (PDC), after which they need to complete another 2 modules at SUSS for a Minor in Digital Content Marketing, to be conferred a Specialist Diploma in Digital Content Marketing qualification.
