Digital Marketing is that one skill every organisation needs - even more so in this pandemic period, which demands a strong digital presence. Add to that, Singapore has around 88.5 percent of its population using the Internet (source: Singapore: internet penetration rate | Statista 2020), and you have the perfect reason for the rising demand of digital marketers. This emerging skill is the top choice for mid-careerists and industry entrants alike. If you too are a fresh graduate keen to train and advance your career in Digital Marketing, consider a work-study programme that’s relevant to this field.
What’s Special in a Work-Study Programme?
A work-study programme lets you have the best of both worlds - work and study. By the time your peers complete their higher studies and achieve an industry-recognised qualification, you have both work experience and an industry recognised post-diploma listed on your curriculum vitae. That’s not where the list of benefits ends, there are more!
Consider the Work-Study Post-Diploma leading to Specialist Diploma in Digital Content Marketing (WSProg-DCM) from Singapore Polytechnic (SP). This is a popular 12-month programme for fresh polytechnic graduates from sectors, such as InfoComm, Business/Marketing, Media and Communications, and Design. It has 5 modules that offer in-depth training in various aspects of digital content, from video to social media.
On-The-Job Training with Classroom Learning
WSProg-DCM and other Work-Study Programmes offered by SP feature structured learning in the classroom. This is accompanied by on-the-job training at a leading company participating in the work-study programme. Course participants get the rare opportunity to apply the principles learnt in the classroom in actual workplace settings. They are assigned mentors at work, who guide them through various work processes, and train them in soft skills as well.
